Generally, we support you in all questions and tasks related to transport and customs clearance, according to your needs. You will be charged the transport and customs costs, as well as the country-specific value-added tax, as usual.
The process
When and what will happen to the product you have ordered?
Once the product is ready, we request the current freight rates from our international freight forwarder. You have the choice of delivery by sea or by air. They both have their advantages: air transport is much quicker, while sea transport is much cheaper. (For destinations within Europe, road transport is recommended.)
If you accept the rates we quote, you order the delivery and we invoice you the cost of the delivery. Please note that the final amount may be different, but only to a minimal extent. Unforeseen delays may for example result in additional storage costs of a few days.
You have 8 days to settle your invoice for the delivery. We recommend immediate settlement, as we will launch your ALTANURA product at that moment. The invoice will be issued by ALTANURA, but the amount will be immediately transferred to our freight forwarder.
Within 3 days of receipt of the fee, our international freight forwarder will pick up your product at our Budapest site and deliver it to the Budapest Central Consolidated Warehouse, from where (in the case of sea transport) the product will first be transported by road to Hamburg or Koper, where it will be loaded into a container and shipping will begin. Depending on the delivery mode you choose, we will deliver your order to your country within 30-40 days (by sea for destinations outside Europe) or 5-6 days (by air for destinations outside Europe), on average. For European destinations, transport is by road and takes up to 1 week.
The product is first placed in warehouse and the import clearance process is initiated, with the assistance of our freight forwarder, UTC Overseas Ltd. They will contact you in the days before your shipment arrives to discuss any questions you may have. Customs clearance usually takes 4-5 days. Our colleagues will handle the formal/official part of the customs clearance and help you pay the duties. Don't forget that you will also be liable to pay local VAT on the import of the product.
Before we send the products you have purchased to you within your country, it is important to clarify exactly what kind of vehicle can be used to deliver them to you and what capacity is available to unload them. Our colleagues will ask you all the important questions and will arrange the delivery depending on the answers.
